What You Should Keep in Mind When Buying Used Designer Handbags

I love handbags, always have and always will. But my problem is that I don’t just like any old handbags, I want them to be well crafted, well designed as well as beautiful. This means I am mostly drawn to designer handbags, which can be a bit of a problem since designer handbags are so incredibly expensive. But being so into handbags, I have found a way to afford designer handbags without breaking the bank, and that is of course to buy vintage designer handbags or pre owned designer handbags (sometimes also called used designer handbags).

You can get vintage handbags and pre owned designer handbags in a lot of places these days: In thrift stores (I have bought some amazing used designer handbags in thrift stores myself, including a real Moschino handbag and a genuine Burberry handbag!), in consignment stores (I have bought many pre owned designer handbags and vintage handbags this way), in online stores (still haven’t tried that) as well as on Ebay (the way I have gotten most of my bags).

So finding used designer handbags is really not that hard, but there are a few things you should keep in mind:

Musty old smells can be hard to get rid of (believe me! I have tried everything!), so I personally prefer not to buy any vintage designer handbags with weird smells.

Broken leather straps can be repaired if you find a real bargain and the bag looks good otherwise.

The only pre owned designer handbags worth buying if you ask me are ones made out of genuine leather. The other ones do not hold up to wear and tear as well.\

Always check the interior as well as the exterior, since the interior can look very bad even if the outside of the bag looks nice. The interior is what really gives the condition of the bag away!

If you buy on Ebay, and all the information you want to know is not stated, ask the seller! Most sellers are perfectly fine with this, and if they aren’t… well, then something could be strange about the bags, so stay away!

So if you have always thought that you will never be able to buy designer handbags, I am sure you have realized by now that you are wrong. Even people on a budget can buy designer handbags, even from the fanciest brands, you just need to look for vintage handbags instead!
